Founded as an extension of the Zimba Women mission, the SACCO addresses one of the most significant barriers women face in entrepreneurship—limited access to affordable and inclusive financial services. Since inception, Zimba Women SACCO has grown steadily, with hundreds of active members and a growing loan portfolio. In 2024, we received a grant from Nemani Microcredit, allowing us to expand our revolving fund for women entrepreneurs. We envision transforming the SACCO into a fully-fledged digital neo-bank — Zimba Capital — within the next 10 years, continuing our mission to revolutionize access to finance for women.
